My name is Scott Danville.  I am a high School Science New York State Master Teacher Emeritus and New York State Master Teacher Academy active member at Beekmantown High School in Plattsburgh, NY (near Montreal) where I teach AP Environmental Science & Regents Earth Science.  I teach in a hybrid classroom using conventional lectures, class discussions, Cornell notetaking, and inquiry-based laboratories with an advanced focus on STEAM education.  Many of the applied learning environments that I create for my students are derived from the necessity to motivate students with activities that allow them to express what they learn in creative ways.

This website is a documentation of many of the technology, engineering, and arts aspects of my pedagogy that enhance the learning experience in my classroom.  Students often have some difficulty beginning projects that place them in the center of problem solving, filming documentaries, podcasting, or green-screen weather forecasts.  The truth is most students really enjoy their experiences and find entering my AP environmental science or Regent Earth science classes with anticipation for what is next.
